Services To Be Conducted Here Friday [23 OCT 1953] Afternoon At 2 O'clock

Albert W. Althouse, 82-year-old retired Wyandot county [OH] farmer died in the Wyandot Memorial hospital at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday. He became ill at his home at 108 South Fourth street Monday [19 OCT 1953] night and was taken to the hospital Tuesday noon after suffering a heart attack. He had suffered from earlier light attacks.

Born June 16, 1871, in Eden township, Wyandot county [OH], the deceased was a son of Samuel and Sophia (Kuenzli) Althouse. September 23, 1897, he was married to Della (sic) May Swan in Upper Sandusky [OH]. She died February 26, 1945.

Surviving are two daughters and a son, Florence, wife of J.C. Balliet, of Tiffin [OH]; Vera, wife of Thomas Daughmer, of east of Little Sandusky [OH], and [Still living], of northeast of Upper Sandusky.

Also surviving are four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. E.F. Stephan, of this city [Upper Sandusky, OH].

Three sisters and five brothers are deceased.

Mr. Althouse was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church in this city. He resided his entire lifetime in Wyandot county.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. from the Bringman & Co. funeral home. Rev. W.A. Tabbert, pastor of the Evangelical United Brethren Church, will officiate. Interment will be made in Oak Hill cemetery.

Friends may call at the Bringman & Co. funeral home after 1 p.m. Thursday [22 OCT 1953] until time for services.
