Virginia Cook

Virginia Cook, 78, a resident of Fox Run Manor and formerly of 205 W. Market St., Van Buren, died at 7:15 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999, at Fox Run Manor.

She was born July 27, 1921, in Van Buren to Alvin J. and Mildred (Moran) Dove. She married Clifford E. Cook on July 3, 1960, and he died May 3, 1994.

Surviving are one nephew, Mark Dove, St. Marys; and two nieces, Jill Sigmund, Fargo, N.D.; Darcy Dove, Fostoria.

She also was preceded in death by one brother, Ralph M. Dove.

Mrs. Cook was a retired teacher, having taught high school business classes at area schools.

She was a member of Van Buren Presbyterian Church. She earned a teaching certificate from Bowling Green State University.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, the Rev. Tawee Layraman officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore.

Visitation will be held two hours prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.
