Josephine Caskey

NEVADA--Services for F. Josephine Caskey, 85, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Lucas Funeral Home, Nevada. The Rev. Ron Renauro and Dr. Jerry Caskey will officiate. Burial will be in Nevada Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be made to Wildwood Chapel, Upper Sandusky.

Formerly of North Goodbread Street, Nevada, Mrs. Caskey died at 9 a.m. Friday, March 12, 1999, in Wyandot Manor Nursing Home, Upper Sandusky.

She was born in Nevada on March 17, 1913, to J.E. and Gurnie (Hahn) Williams. On Dec. 13, 1935, she married Charles Caskey in Sulphur Springs. He survives.

Also surviving are a son, Dr. Jerry Caskey, Terre Haute, Ind.; three grandsons, Charles, Littleton, Colo.; Larry, Indianapolis, Ind.; and Kevin, Terre Haute; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Howard Gilliland, Bucyrus; and Charles Gilliland, Richwood; nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Caskey was a homemaker and a secretary at Nevada school, then at Wynford High School, retiring in 1968. She was a member of Wildwood Chapel, where she and her husband were founding members. She taught Sunday school at the church and evangelism classes in Wyandot County schools. She had a children's Bible Club in Nevada for many years and took part in the worship services at Wyandot Manor for many years. She had been a church organist for more than 50 years. Favorite pastimes were gardening, canning, sewing and traveling with her husband.
