Class of 1963

National Honor Society


 

Six members of the Nevada High School Class of 1963 and two members of the Class of 1962, along with 16 students from Holmes-Liberty High School and seven students from Mt. Zion High School, were the first group to be inducted into the newly formed Wynford Chapter of the National Honor Society.

The induction ceremony was held on Tuesday, February 13, 1962, at Mt. Zion High School.

Earlier in the 1961-1962 school year the members of the individual National Honor Societies from Holmes-Liberty High School, Mt. Zion High School, and Nevada High School joined together to form the new Wynford Chapter of the National Honor Society.

Certificate of Membership (name removed) given to the first group of students inducted into the new Wynford Chapter of the National Honor Society on February 13, 1962

The certificates were signed by Mr. Galen S. Kyre, principal of Mt. Zion High School and the first advisor of the Wynford Chapter of the National Honor Society.


 

The Wynford Chapter of the National Honor Society held its second induction ceremony on Monday, April 2, 1963, at Nevada High School.
