Isabel L. McClain

Isabel Luella McClain, 65, of Route 1, Upper Sandusky [OH], died at her home Sunday [25 MAR 1979] night following a massive coronary attack.

A Wyandot County [OH] native, Mrs. McClain was born July 8, 1913, to Frank and Daisy (Snyder) Bardon. On Jan. 8, 1930, she married Vernon McClain. He died Feb. 23, 1965.

Surviving are four sons, Charles of Findlay [OH], Thomas and Kenneth of Upper Sandusky and David of Madison, Wis.; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and three sisters, Mary Creger of Route 2, Nevada [OH], Katherine Brewer of Upper Sandusky and her twin Arabel Larick of Nevada.

Mrs. McClain was a homemaker and a member of Emanuel United Church of Christ and its women's guild; also of Wyandot County [OH] Senior Citizens.

The Rev. Barbara Laucks will officiate at the funeral to be held Wednesday [28 MAR 1979] at 11 a.m. in Lucas Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday [27 MAR 1979]. Memorials may be made to Emanuel Church or to Wyandot Memorial Hospital coronary care unit.

Isabel Luella McClain, 65, of Rt. 1, Upper Sandusky [OH], died at 9:50 p.m. Sunday [25 MAR 1979] in her home. Death was sudden.

She was born July 8, 1913 in Wyandot County [OH] to Frank and Daisy (Snyder) Bardon. She married Vernon McClain, Jan. 8, 1930. He preceded her in death.

Surviving are four children Charles F. McClain of Findlay [OH], Thomas S. McClain of Rt. 1, Upper Sandusky, Kenneth E. McClain of Upper Sandusky and David McClain of Madison, Wis., nine grandchildren, one great grandchild and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Creger of Rt. 1, Nevada [OH], Mrs. Katherine Brewer of Upper Sandusky, and Mrs. Arabel Larick of Rt. 2, Nevada.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday [28 MAR 1979] in the Lucas Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky. The Rev. Barbara Laucks will officiate and burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will [be] from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday [27 MAR 1979] in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the coronary unit of Wyandot Memorial Hospital or to the Emanuel United Church of Christ.
