Who Was Summoned To Great Beyond Thursday [05 OCT 1922], Was Widely Known.

Another family circle was broken when death entered a home and claimed Mrs. Charles A. McClain, of Pitt township [Wyandot Co, OH], Thursday morning, at 10:15 o'clock. Mrs. McClain had been in failing health for the past three years with a complication of diseases, but her condition was not considered serious, until a short time before her death. She suddenly grew worse and passed away before any of the children could reach her bedside.

Mary Secoy McClain was the daughter of Benjamin and Ellen (Casey) Secoy and was born January 11, 1873, being aged 49 years, 8 months and 26 days at time of death. She was united in marriage with Charles A. McClain November 23, 1894. She leaves to mourn their loss her husband and the following children: Irene, wife of Clarence Clabaugh, of near this city [Upper Sandusky, OH]; Ora McClain, of north of town; Rosella, wife of Eugene Clabaugh, of Ada [OH]; Roy McClain, of southeast of town, and Floyd and Vernon McClain, at home. Mrs. McClain's mother died many years ago. She is also survived by her father and step-mother; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Brown, of east of town, and Mrs. A.O. Adams, of Lagro, Ind., and five brothers, Charles Secoy, Frank Secoy, John Secoy and Harry Secoy, of near this city, and George Secoy, of Charles City, Iowa, and five grandchildren.

Mrs. McClain was a woman who was held in high esteem in the community and was always looking forward to the good and welfare of her family and home, where her loss will be keenly felt. She possessed a host of warm friends whose sympathy is extended the bereaved family.

The funeral services will be held Monday [09 OCT 1922] morning, at 8:30 o'clock at St. Peter's Catholic church. Burial is to be made in Oak Hill cemetery.
