Dies at Her Home in Pitt Township [Wyandot Co, OH] Wednesday [12 MAR 1930] Morning

Mrs. R.S. Wood, one of the most highly respected women in Wyandot county, passed into the sleep of death at her home, south of this city [Upper Sandusky, OH], at 11:45 o'clock Wednesday morning after an illness of two weeks with uremic poisoning.

Mrs. Wood, whose maiden name was Leefe McClain, was the daughter of Abraham and Catherine McClain, both of whom are now deceased, and was born in Pitt township February 18, 1863, having passed her sixtyseventh birthday last February. She was married to Reuben S. Wood, who survives, about fifty years ago. Three children were born to this union. One son, Walter, is deceased. Homer Wood, at home, and Grace, wife of F.A. Fowler, of Little Sandusky [OH], also survive. She leaves the following brothers and sisters: Charles McClain, A.L. McClain, Elmore McClain, Mrs. A.S. Smith and Mrs. Sarah Smith, all of this vicinity.

Mrs. Wood was a faithful member of the Methodist Episcopal church at Harpster [OH]. She was a well-known woman and possessed many warm friends who with the relatives are saddened by her death.
