Esteemed Resident Died Wednesday [13 JAN 1932] at Home of Granddaughter

Mrs. Z.T. Smith, esteemed resident of Wyandot county [OH], passed away at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Glenn Smythe, southeast of town [Upper Sandusky, OH], Wednesday afternoon at 5:25 o'clock. Mrs. Smith was ill for some time and death resulted from heart disease.

Sarah Ellen McClain was born in Pitt township [Wyandot Co, OH], October 30, 1857, the daughter of Abraham and Katherine (sic) McClain. She was aged 74 years, 2 months and 13 days at the time of death. In 1875 she was united in marriage to Z.T. Smith, who passed away in April, 1912. This union was blessed with two children, a daughter, Jeannette, wife of Frank Secoy, residing south of town, and a son, Paul Smith, who died September 12, 1930. Mrs. Smith leaves two grandchildren, Mrs. Glenn Smythe, at whose home she died, and Paul Secoy, of Akron [OH]. There are four great-grandchildren, namely, Paul, Franklin, Ida Jeannette and Kenneth Smythe. Two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Troup and Mrs. Leefe Wood, preceded Mrs. Smith in death, while there are three brothers and one sisters remaining, namely, A.L. McClain, of Pitt township; Elmore McClain, of near Marseilles [OH]; Charles McClain, of southeast of town, and Mrs. A.S. Smith, also of Pitt township. Mrs. Smith leaves a host of other relatives and friends who mourn the.....Saturday [16 JAN 1932] afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Secoy, and at 2:30 o'clock at the Bringman & Co. funeral home in this city. Rev. G.W. Good will officiate. Burial will be made in Oak Hill cemetery. The remains are now at the funeral home and will be removed to the Secoy home Friday [15 JAN 1932] morning.
