Dies at Home, Southeast of Kirby [OH], Friday [29 MAR 1912] Afternoon.

Mrs. Hugh Mason died Friday afternoon, at 3:20 o'clock, at her home, in Mifflin township [Wyandot Co, OH], three miles southeast of Kirby, from a complication of diseases, after a severe sickness of four weeks. The deceased's maiden name was Jane E. McClain, and she was the daughter of Abram (sic) and Mary McClain. She was born in Marion county [OH] August 25, 1838. On the 31st of December, 1857, she was wedded to Hugh Mason. In 1875 they moved to Wyandot county and have been residents here ever since, a period of thirtyseven years. No children were born to this union. Mr. Mason survives her.

She is also survived by a full brother, Zachariah McClain, in Pitt township [Wyandot Co, OH]; three half-sisters, Mrs. Z.T. Smith, Mrs. Gus Smith and Mrs. Reuben Wood; also three half brothers, Elmore McClain, Abe McClain and Charles McClain.

One full sister, Mrs. Mary Quail, is deceased, as are also three full brothers, John G., Archie and David McClain. A half sister, Mrs. Charles P. Troup, passed into eternity a little over a year ago.

Funeral services will be held Monday [01 APR 1912] morning at 9:30 o'clock, from the home, conducted by Rev. O.O. Tracy, of Wharton [OH]. Interment in Oak Hill cemetery.
