Dies In Mifflin Township [Wyandot Co, OH] After Extended Illness

Mrs. George Quail, aged 62, passed away at her home in Mifflin township, Tuesday [25 FEB 1941] morning at 12:30 o'clock. She had been ailing for more than four years, from heart trouble and complications.

Mrs. Quail, whose maiden name was Emma Mae Thatcher, was born in Crane township [Wyandot Co, OH], November 26, 1878, the daughter of Thomas and Naomi (Hall) Thatcher. She was married to George A. Quail, March 12, 1901. He survives with one daughter, Mrs. Clarence Clinger, of Mifflin township, and four grandchildren, Robert, Jane, Paul and John Clinger. A son, Alvin, died in 1930. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Matilda Speigle and Mrs. A.E. Van Orsdall and a brother, John T. Thatcher, all of Mifflin township. Two brothers and a sister have preceded her in death.

Mrs. Quail was a member of Salem Methodist church in Mifflin township and was regular and faithful attendant as long as her health permitted. She was teacher of the young people's class a number of years. She had lived in Mifflin township practically all her life and leaves many friends in the community.

Funeral services will be held Thursday [27 FEB 1941] afternoon at 2 o'clock, at the home, followed by services at the Salem Methodist church at 2:30 in charge of Rev. W.E. Ballinger. Burial will be made in Oak Hill cemetery. The body was brought to the Bringman & Co. funeral home to be prepared for burial and will be returned Wednesday [26 FEB 1941] morning to the late residence where friends may call.
