Services Thursday [10 JAN 1963] For Retired Mifflin Township [Wyandot Co, OH] Farmer

George A. Quail, 86, of 416 South Seventh Street, Upper Sandusky [OH], passed away at 10:45 p.m. Monday at the home of his daughter with whom he resided for eight years. He had been in failing health two years, bedfast two weeks. Death was attributed to complications.

Born April 29, 1876 in Mifflin Township, Wyandot County, he was the son of Asa and Mary R. (McClain) Quail. He first married Emma Mae Thatcher on March 12, 1901 in Upper Sandusky. She passed away February 25, 1941. In 1943 he married Emily Hall in Kenton [OH], and she passed away in 1954.

Surviving are a daughter, Agnes R., wife of the late Clarence C. Clinger, Upper Sandusky; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Iva B. Trachsel of Dunkirk [OH]; brother, A. Avery Quail of Kenton. Deceased are a son, Alvin, who passed away on July 4, 1930, an infant sister, and sisters, Sylvia J. Hougendobler, Martha E. Lick and Mary A. Morrison.

Mr. Quail was a retired farmer and a member of the Salem Methodist Church in Mifflin Township. He was a trustee for Mifflin Township and a member of the Mifflin Township School board.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday from the Bringman & Co. Funeral Home with the Rev. Floyd E. Jepsen, pastor of the Salem Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be made in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday [09 JAN 1963] from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m.
