Aged Resident Passes Away Early Tuesday [19 JAN 1932] at Home of Daughter

Mrs. Louisa Grundtisch, aged eightythree years, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ella Caldwell, on North Fifth street, Tuesday morning at 1:40 o'clock. Deceased had been in a critical condition since May 5, a complication of diseases resulting in her death.

Louisa Kloepfer was the daughter of Henry and Catherine Kloepfer and was born at Smithville [OH] July 21, 1848, being aged 83 years, 5 months and 28 days at the time of demise. At the age of eighteen years she was married to Peter Grundtisch, to which union eight children were born. Two sons and a daughter, namely, Fred, George and Carrie Grundtisch, preceded Mrs. Grundtisch in death. Mr. Grundtisch passed away December 4, 1901. The surviving children are Adam Grundtisch, of Toledo [OH]; H.C. Grundtisch, of Lancaster [OH]; Mrs. S.F. Whisner, of Akron [OH]; Mrs. J.W. Cruickshank, of Muskegon Heights, Michigan, and Mrs. Ella Caldwell, at whose home the mother died, and where she had made her home for the past six years. There are seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Grundtisch was preceded in death also by a half-brother, Ferdinand Kloepfer; a half-sister, Rachel Abel; a brother, Henry Kloepfer, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Grundtisch and Mrs. Caroline Yeager.

Deceased was a devout Christian, a faithful member of Trinity Reformed church, of this city [Upper Sandusky, OH]. She was a life-long resident of this community and leaves a host of friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services will be held at the Caldwell home Thursday [21 JAN 1932] afternoon at 1:30 o'clock and at 2 o'clock at Trinity Reformed church. Rev. G.W. Good will officiate. Burial will be made in Old Mission cemetery. Friends please omit flowers.
