Dies Thursday [10 SEP 1914] Evening at Home in Buffalo, N.Y.

Relatives in this city [Upper Sandusky, OH] received word Friday [11 SEP 1914] morning of the death of John Grundtisch, which occurred Thursday evening at his home, in Buffalo, N.Y. The funeral will be held Sunday [13 SEP 1914] afternoon at Buffalo. Mrs. John Burckhardt (sic), Mrs. Charles Cress, Mrs. William Leser and Joseph Shively will leave Saturday morning to attend the funeral.

John Grundtisch was the son of Jacob and Marilla (sic) Grundtisch, long since deceased. He was born in Geiselberg, Germany, in November (sic), 1856 (sic), being in his fiftyeighth year at the time of death. He came with his parents to America in 1860, and grew to manhood in Upper Sandusky, when he went to Pittsburgh, remaining there a number of years and engaging in the stock business. Later he went to Buffalo, and at the time of his death was in the stock business with his son, John, as a partner.

Mr. Grundtisch was married about thirty years ago to Miss Mary Baker, who survives with ten children. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. John Burckhardt (sic), of this city, and two brothers, Jacob Grundtisch, of this city, and George Grundtisch, of Pittsburgh, Penn.
