Dies At His Home In Pittsburgh [PA] After A Brief Illness.

Relatives here received word of the death of George Grundtisch, which occurred at his home in Pittsburgh, Penn., Wednesday [27 APR 1921] night, after an illness of one day. Mr. Grundtisch, with his daughter, Mrs. W.B. Johnson, visited in this city [Upper Sandusky, OH] last summer.

Deceased was aged seventyfour years and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Grundtisch, both deceased. His boyhood was spent in this county [Wyandot Co, OH]. When he was a young man he went to Pittsburgh where he had since resided. He was employed in the Ira Brainard stock yards at that place. He was twice married, first to Justine Reichard, who died many years ago. To this union five children were born, namely, Miss Catherine Grundtisch, Mrs. W.B. Johnson, Mrs. Henry Domhoff, George Grundtisch and Miss Florence Grundtisch, all of Pittsburgh. His second marriage was to Millie Hilderecht, who survives. To this union three children were born, William Grundtisch, Miss Minna Grundtisch, and Clarence Grundtisch, also of Pittsburgh. Besides his wife and children he also leaves one brother, Jacob Grundtisch, of this city, and one sister, Mrs. John Burkhardt, of this city. He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews in this city and vicinity. He was a member of the Lutheran church in Pittsburgh.

The funeral will be held at Pittsburgh Saturday [30 APR 1921] afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be make at that place. Miss Eleanor Grundtisch and Mrs. William Leser, of this city, will attend.
