Dies at Home in Marion [Marion Co, OH] Sunday [01 SEP 1935] Evening After Long Ilness (sic)

James K. Schindler, aged sixtyfive years, died at his home on Ira avenue, Marion, Sunday night at 8:25 o'clock from tuberculosis. He had been ill four years.

Mr. Schindler was born April 30, 1870, in Henry county [OH] to Daniel and Harriet Hill Schindler, both now deceased. He was united in marriage to Lydia Grundtisch, who survives, on December 5, 1901, in Upper Sandusky [Wyandot Co, OH]. Surviving are one daughter, Miss Lucille Schindler, at home; and the following brothers and sisters: Herbert Schindler, of Marion; Lloyd Schindler, of Upper Sandusky; Victor Schindler, of Harpster [Wyandot Co, OH]; Mrs. Jay Gelbaugh, of Marion; Mrs. Luther Briggs, of Santa Monica, California, and Mrs. Mahlon McBride, of near Wyandot [Wyandot Co, OH].

Mr. Schindler was a member of the First Reformed church in Marion and served as elder. He was a craneman at the Marion Steam Shovel company.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday [04 SEP 1935] afternoon at 2 o'clock at the First Reformed church in Marion. Rev. A.L. Scherry and Rev. John Heistand will be in charge. Burial will be made in Marion cemetery.
