LOCAL RESIDENT CLAIMED THURSDAY [13 APR 1961]

Rites To Be Held Monday [17 APR 1961] For Mrs. Charles F. Stalter

Mrs. Clara Elizabeth Stalter, 77, of 131 North Hazel Street, Upper Sandusky [OH], passed away suddenly at 11:45 a.m. Thursday in Wyandot Memorial Hospital. Death was due to complications. She had been ill for one year.

Born August 5, 1883 in Crane Township [Wyandot Co, OH] she was the daughter of Frank and Mary (Kloepfer) Grundtisch. September 14, 1905 she married Charles F. Stalter who passed away in 1931. Mrs. Stalter was a lifetime resident of Upper Sandusky and she was a member of the Martha Class of the Trinity United Church of Christ.

Surviving are three children, Mrs. Charles M. (Kathryn) Newell and Mrs. Joseph (Annabelle) Morehart, of Upper Sandusky and William F. Stalter of Bakersfield, California; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Mae Heath, Chicago, Illinois and Mrs. Estella Newell of Upper Sandusky. Sisters Mrs. Kathryn Shivley, Mrs. Maud Schindler, Mrs. Louise Robey, Mrs. Flora Cress and Mrs. Emma Irvin (who passed away in March 1961); bothers, Edward and Philip Edwin Grundtisch, and one half-brother Frederick Yeager preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Bringman & Co. Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Frederick Santschi, pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ, officiating. Interment is to be made in Old Mission Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday [16 APR 1961] from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m.
