Mildred Stuckey

SYCAMORE--Mildred D. Stuckey, 93, rural Sycamore, died at 7:05 p.m. Monday, March 2, 1990, in Rosegate Care Center, West Worthington.

She was born Aug. 4, 1896, in Defiance, to Wallace and Isabelle (Diepe) Dickman. On July 25, 1923, she married Vaughn Stuckey, who died Feb. 11, 1972.

Surviving are a son, Dwight, Columbus; four grandchildren, David, Harrisburg; Denise, Marion; Dean and Darryl, both of Columbus; and seven great-grandchildren. A half sister, Beulah Burnham, is deceased.

Mrs. Stuckey was a retired music teacher, having taught at Sycamore, Lykens and Eden schools and at the Junior Order Home in Tiffin. She also gave private piano and voice lessons. She was a graduate of Defiance College and a member of Sycamore United Methodist Church and Delta Kappa Gamma teachers' sorority.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, the Rev. Mark Reep officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore.

Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. Memorials may be made to Sycamore UMC or a charity of the donor's choice.
