MRS. W.J. BLASER DIES AT COLUMBUS

Life-Long Resident Of Wyandot County [OH] Expires At Daughter's Home

Mrs. W.J. Blaser, aged 74, a life-long resident of Wyandot county, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles O'Connor, at 659 Hanford street, Columbus [OH], Tuesday [01 FEB 1949] afternoon at 2 o'clock. Death came unexpectedly from a heart attack. She had been at her daughter's home the past two weeks.

epswan01.jpg (20891 bytes)Mrs. Blaser, whose maiden name was Pearl Swan, was born March 31, 1875 in Eden township [Wyandot Co, OH], to James and Angeline (Robinson) Swan. She was united in marriage with William Joseph Blaser, on January 13, 1895, her husband preceding her in death March 15, 1944.

Surviving children are Wayne Blaser, of Tennessee; Ruth, wife of Paul Castanien, of Marion [OH]; Homer Blaser, of the state of New York; Robert Blaser, of Rutland, Vermont and Helen, wife of Charles O'Connor, of Columbus. Mrs. Blaser also leaves sixteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one brother, Jesse Swan, of east of town [Upper Sandusky, OH]. Two brothers and two sisters are deceased.

Mrs. Blaser was a member of the Salem Evangelical United Brethren church, east of town, where funeral services will be held Friday [04 FEB 1949] afternoon at 2 o'clock, in charge of Rev. John W. Martin. Short prayer services will be held at 1:30 o'clock at Bringman & Co. funeral home. Calling hours will be after 7:30 o'clock this Wednesday [02 FEB 1949] evening at the funeral home.
