We are sorry to learn of the death of Mrs. Rev. G. Blazer (sic), of Eden township [Wyandot Co, OH]. She died after a long illness, and leaves a husband and nine children to mourn the loss of a dear wife and loving mother. The Sycamore News thus speaks of the deceased:

Mrs. Blazer (sic) has for many years been a constant member of the Evangelical church and christian companion and mother. She had for many years been troubled with catarrh, which recently terminated in consumption, which soon ended her life. Mrs. Blazer (sic), by her christian example and influence, gathered around herself a large circle of friends, who with the family and relatives, deeply mourn her departure, and are made to feel the loss of a sister in the church; a councilor (sic) in the social circle, and a friend in affliction and trouble. What a comfort in death to know that the wise choice has been made, and the house set in order, and our treasures laid up in heaven.

Death but ends the cares of earth,
     And if prepared to go,
Admits us to a heavenly berth,
     Where streams of pleasure flow.
