Nevada Alumni Association Banquet was held May 16

HOLMES TOWNSHIP The Nevada Alumni Association held its annual banquet May 16 at Wynford High School with 122 alumni, faculty, and guests in attendance of which 79 were Nevada High School graduates.

The tables, covered in white, had green place mats with the names of the honored classes on them and gold programs. These displayed the school colors. Marsha Gathright, Sandra Stuckman, and Joyce Baldosser helped decorate for the event.

Joyce Baldosser was at the registration table. Marsha and Tom Gathright and Sandra Stuckman were greeters. Paul Motter gave the invocation and Marvin Monroe provided the music for the evening.

Wilma Burky and Mary Jane Bender chaired the event and acted as masters of ceremonies.

Wynford Supt. Steve Mohre updated the attendees on Wynford School activities. Dinner was prepared by Katering Kountry Style and served by the Wynford Lady Royals. Wynford FFA set up the tables.

Recipients of the Luther Lust Scholarship were Allison Crall and Allison Heacock. Each received a $500 scholarship.

Veterans in attendance were honored for their service to our country.

Honored classes were the classes of 1950, 1955, and 1960.

Those present from the class of 1950 were Marjorie (Bardon) Auck and Kathryn (Rhoden) Hunsicker.

Deceased members include Nancy (Walter) Kemerly, Ted Frost, Dolores (Fletcher) Carr, Alvin Markley, Marlene (Starner) Rarick, Donald Logan and Marjorie (Matthews) Hoffman.

Jim Gilliland presented the class of 1955. Those present were Milton Motter, Donna (Goodman) Williams, Arthur Williams, Mountie (Dyer) Long, Jim Gilliland, Marvin Heinlen, Juanita (Best) Kibler, Jane (Monroe) Vorrath and Eileen Steinhilber. Deceased members include Curtis Bell, Nancy (Tschantz) Hansen, Carol (Stover) Morrison, Janet (Kellogg) Hedrick, Anna (Scott) Dideon, Glenn Spiegel and Gary Caldwell.

Charles Vaughn presented the class of 1960. Those present were Sarah (Coons) Jenney, Tom Bennett, Charles Vaughn, Tom Trish, Larry Snodgrass, Janet (Hite) Snodgrass, John Clayton, Ruth Ann (Motter) Leonhart, Richard Dilley, Marie (Gilliland) Dilley, and Norma (Starner) Gebhardt. Deceased members include: Barbara (Rothlisberger) Green, Bill Amert, Carolyn (Goodman) Hornak, Betty (Jacobs) Staley and David Feurer.

Winners of the gift certificates were Cleteabelle Barns, Richard Roberts and Joan Dilley.

Following a brief business session, Marvin Monroe led the group in singing the Alma Mater. The remainder of the evening was spent renewing old friendships.

NEVADA The Nevada Alumni Association recently hosted its annual banquet at Wynford High School with 122 alumni, faculty and guests in attendance.

Tables were covered in class colors of white, with green placemats with thenames of honored classes on them and gold programs printed by Central Monogramming, Bucyrus.

Marsha Gathright, Sandra Stuckman and Joyce Baldosser helped decorate for the event.

Paul Motter gave the invocation and Marvin Monroe provided music for the evening.

Wynford Superintendent Steve Mohr updated attendees on Wynford School activities.

Katering Kountry Style provided a baked steak dinner that was served by the Wynford Lady Royals. Wynford FFA members set up tables.

Allison Crall and Allison Heacock were announced as recipients of $500 Luther Lust scholarships.

Veterans present were honored for their military service.

The honored classes for the evening were the classes of 1950, 1955 and 1960.

Cleteabelle Barnes, Richard Roberts and Joan Dilley won gift certificates.

After a brief business meeting, Monroe led the group in singing the alma mater.
